A great opportunity exists for someone to serve in an area that is extremely beneficial to the church. Our bookstore is just getting started, and we are looking for a church member who would enjoy a “store” like ministry. Listening to the needs of others, ordering materials, accessing internet materials, talking to book distributors, pricing materials, and following the Pastors direction are the skills needed for this ministry. If this sounds good to you, pray about it and then see Pastor. We are ready to get started! Top Come with me to Sunday School on the church bus! Beacon Baptist Church strives to serve all members of our community in providing a complimentary ride to church. Pastor Jason and Betsy Springer have over 15 years combined experience in serving in the bus ministry. Mrs. Springer's experience includes safe driving awards from the Campus Bus Service at Kent State University. Why not call the church and schedule a pick up today! We would love to include you in this area of ministry. If the Lord leads you to aid in our bussing ministry, pray about it and see Pastor Springer. Can you sing like a canary, play an instrument, or make a joyful noise? There is always room for you to serve in this extremely important ministry! We do not boast professional singers at the Beacon Baptist Church; we simply lift our voices in praise and worship to our worthy God. Exalting the Lord Jesus Christ is our hope as our choir prepares the hearts of the congregation for the preaching of God’s word. Top Mrs. Springer directs the choir, and special music is under the direction of Pastor Springer. If this is an area of service that you would be interested in, pray about it and then please see one of them. The choir ministry is a weekly commitment including practice every Sunday at 5:15p.m. Special music is upon approval by Pastor Springer and will need to comply with the standards set by the Pastor. We look forward to serving with you! Top Under the
direction of Chris Merritt, this ministry is a commitment based upon All places of assembly need some sort of maintenance and safety preparation. Beacon Baptist Church is no exception. We actively maintain our facilities with the utmost care. Proper maintenance provides a safe place of worship for all who attend.
Beacon Baptist Church also has an Emergency Action Plan, developed to address many foreseeable conditions in which adversity may occur. It is our hope that none of these procedures will be necessary. They are, however, in place if an unlikely event should present itself. Some topics include:
*For the safety of our youth, all staff members and youth workers agree to a background check. If you are interested in this ministry and have prayed about it, see brother Jerry Edwards for more information. Building and Grounds Presentation
The “Grounds Presentation” ministry has nothing to do with lawn care. It is all about landscaping, lighting, and turning our property into a picturesque place of worship. This will be an ongoing ministry with limitless possibilities. We are looking for men who are hard working, willing to follow direction and have time to help several hours at a time. If this is an area of service that interests you, pray about it and then talk to brother Jerry. Top Cathy Dexter directs this fast paced and fun ministry. From decorating to serving food these ladies do it all! There are many opportunities on our calendar to setup, serve, and clean up for a fellowship. If you enjoy the “hustle and bustle” of serving others then consider your place in this ministry. Ladies desiring to serve should be patient and courteous, work well under a little pressure, and be willing to follow instructions. Sounds like your kind of ministry? Pray, then talk to sister Cathy. We look forward to your service! Top Business Men and Women for Christ Financing the great commission is always a burden upon the church. Local business men and women who have an understanding of God’s plan for their money can take Beacon Baptist Church to the next level of ministry. Tithing is our duty, but giving over and above for the glory of God is what motivates these servants of Christ. Good, Godly staff members, faith promise missions, outreach ministries, daily operations, and expansion of our current facilities are just some of the many needs that can be met through this great ministry. This ministry is for those who want to make every dollar earned count for eternity. In the world, money and power go hand in hand. However, in God’s economy, finances can be turned into saving souls through the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Are you ready to find out more? Pray about it and then go see the Pastor. Top Our greeters make a first impression on all who come to Beacon Baptist Church. People in this important ministry welcome people as they come to church, pass out bulletins and visitor packs, direct people where classes are being held, and make everyone feel right at home! This ministry requires smiling people who are friendly, willing to go out of their way for others, and committed to attending all the services at Beacon. People will look for “their” friendly greeter each time they come, so everyone needs to be in their place every week. If you are ready to greet then please pray, and see sister Jean. Top
Workers will assist in all phases of camp; flexibility is the key. Do you like kids? Then you will love Junior Camp! All workers should plan to help throughout the entire camp, which means an overnight commitment. If you would like to help this year please pray about it and see Pastor Springer. Top

This group is for ladies who are especially energetic and have a vision for reaching others for Christ. Sorry, we haven’t time for gossip! There is far too much to do and so little time. Meeting every Tuesday, please see Cathy Dexter for details! Top Leading the way at Beacon Baptist Church, the men of Christian Men's Fellowship take time out of their busy, weekly schedules to build and encourage one another in the faith. In just one hour a week these men pray, study and build one another in the faith. Men, please know that this world is tough enough without trying to “make it” on your own. This was never God’s plan. Come see why others are getting stronger in the faith, building closer families, and actually enjoy facing each new day for the cause of Christ. Life in this world is more than working for retirement. Certainly God has more for our lives than that! The abundant Christian life is about what we do now, to make an eternal impact on the world around us. The men of Christian Men's Fellowship strive for exactly that. We feel a uniform lesson helps families to learn together. Any questions a family member might have can be discussed by the entire family. Can the Lord have one more hour of your time this week? Give it a try, join us at 10 a.m. and find out exactly what you have been missing! If you are a member who would like to become a teacher, pray about it and then see the Pastor.
